This is the official website for Floof Audio, a one man company producing and selling music production plugin software. If you just want the plugins without any more info, simply create a user, and purchase plugins to get going right away!
Floof Audio was founded in Oslo, Norway in early 2024 by me, Sogsquid.
I have always enjoyed making beats but often ended up focusing more on the technical aspects of music production than actually finishing songs. The journey of creating music software started back in 2018 with the visual programming environment Pure Data, but I always felt limited by not being able to use the projects in a proper plugin format. This led to a computer engineering degree and a deep dive into C++ and the JUCE library. The plugins for sale are the result of years of education and countless hours spent at cafes, libraries, and offices with my laptop, chasing the ideas in my head. I hope someone out there will have fun with the tools I’m providing and find use for them in creating and sharing music.
About the vision: It has always amazed me how, despite the increasingly limitless nature of music production software, the sense of joy and inspiration is often lost in added features, bloat, and a race to match competitors. In my opinion this results in great DAWs turning into behemoth software where you feel more overwhelmed than inspired. A great solution is to increase the modularity of a DAW using plugins, allowing you to pick and choose which features you actually want for your projects. My vision is to supplement DAWs by injecting inspiration and tools that encourage creativity, and make the experience feel more fun and alive.
About the name: I struggled for a while to come up with something, but landed on Floof Audio to reflect the playful and approachable nature of the plugins. After all, who doesn't like cats and dogs!?
When buying plugins from Floof Audio you never have to worry about license managers or license registrations. You simply buy the plugin and own it for yourself forever. The reason for this is to completely remove the issues related to the reliability, uptime, and availability of license managers. You get usage rights for your private machines, the rest of the limitations can be read in the EULA you agree to when using the plugins.
The prices are set relatively low to increase accessibility for music producers of all walks of life. This also avoids the typical cheesy 80-90% discount cycles often seen on certain other plugin market places. You can trust the prices on this page to stay low and consistent for whenever you are ready to make a purchase.
There are many plugins in the pipeline, some nearly finished. I might start posting videos about them if I find the time. Among the ones currently being tested are several sequencers and MIDI tools that should make great additions to Floof Station. I’ve also been experimenting with synthesis, so there may be some synth plugins down the line as well. Be sure to follow Floof on social media to stay updated.
This website was majorly overhauled in April of 2026. The webstore was previously powered by itch.io but is now using MoonBase. What this means is that you can log in directly on the site and manage your plugins without third party stores. The old itch store will still be up for those that already purchased plugins there, but the plugins versions will not be updated at that site. If you would like to transfer your purchase from your itch account to your new account on this site, just send me a mail and I will resolve this.
